Bring Back Iowa's Book Sale

We are excited about the new collaboration between the former BookWorks and Caring Hands Outreach Center.

The book sale has a rich tradition, a vibrant volunteer base, and a commitment to fostering a love for reading and service to the community. This complements our mission at Caring Hands Outreach Center as we mobilize compassion through food, clothing, and shelter for our neighbors in need. Because setting up the sorting and storage facility requires many one-time expenses, we are initiating efforts to raise at least $150,000 to secure the future of the book sale. We depend on fundraising initiatives, including generous donors, grants, and community partners, to provide compassionate service to the most vulnerable among us.

We believe we can save the book sale and elevate its impact within the community. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage our strengths to make a lasting difference in Central Iowa.
